I've been a stylist / barber for over 40 years. I've been in the hair salon and barbering business since the mid 1970's when I received my license as hair stylist / barber.  I am passionate about the hair industry and enjoy the relationships I have developed with many stylists, salon owners, and barbers and other professionals in this industry over the years.

With the new incarnation of Over The Top Salon Services on June 1 2018, I decided to no longer represent hair care products and instead focus on the industry's best cutting and styling tools, representing scissors from Hikari, Kamisori, Shisato, and Yasaka. Clippers and Trimmers from JRL Professional, and specialty hair dryers and irons from GMJ Beauty, Copper Barrel thermal, boar and vented brushes from FROMM, and Diane and Crystal Ion Carbon combs from VIA San Francisco. Using the highest quality cutting and styling tools means not only the best results for your clients, it means less wear and tear on your hands and joints.

 

Some History:

In 1987 I established  the first incarnation of Over The Top Salon Services in order to offer some of the most popular quality hair care products available.

 

I started with TIGI linea by Toni & Guy as their product distributor for Oregon and SW Washington and added the Colorly hair color line by IT&LY Hair Fashion as the color line I wanted to represent.

With the help Rick Ulmer who because my general manager we grew the business into a successful wholesale salon distributorship with 12 employees.

In the fall of 1994 I merged my business with Ed Wyse and became the Director of Education there.

​

In 2001 I went to work for KAO Corporation selling Goldwell and KMS for the next 10 years.

​

In 2011 I became a Salon Consultant for Beauty Bros a multi-line wholesale distributor in Oregon.

​

On June 1 2018 I re-registered the name Over The Top Salon Services with the state of Oregon and started selling the finest quality styling and barbering tools that I could become the distributor for. The first company I contacted was Hikari Scissors because I was determined to only represent the finest quality tools made.
